Well, it's been a funny week. I performed on Tuesday night but was then sick and recovering for the rest of the week. It's sad, because I obviously love my job, but also good because it forced me to rest. It's hard work performing 8 shows a week and adding rehearsals, costume fittings, note sessions and now that I've started teaching singing lessons, there's just not enough time in each day to rest!
I'm looking forward to being back on stage on Tuesday and Wednesday night. I'm also looking forward to being able to put the finished puzzle that Jasmin gave me on my dressing room wall - it's currently under my desk.
But anyways, I will make the most of those 2 days next week, because on Thursday afternoon we are flying to Australia via Singapore!
If you see Die Eiskönigin this week, I'm sure my cover will do an amazing job! As we all know, being a cover can be hard. You don't always get much rehearsal time, or any rehearsal time at all - you just need to know your stuff. And most of the time, the first time you go on will be last minute, without any warning. But, I know that everyone in this cast are so talented and are doing a great job.
I will definitely be posting on my holiday, so don't worry about that. There will be LOTS of photos to come :-)
In the meantime, here are some photos from our last trip to Australia in December 2022. Slightly different weather, but still Christmas.
Perth City and the Swan River.
This is the building where I started taking acting classes when I was 12 years old. The company has moved to a new location, but every time I walk past that building, I like to go inside and feel like that 12 year old boy again, beginning his new adventure of becoming a performer :-)
A gig I did at the Ellington Jazz Club. I have performed there many times.
Santa playing cricket :-)
Optus Stadium.
Perth City and the central train station.
The Bell Tower.
Perth City from the balcony of Optus Stadium
A random statue we found about 15 minutes before I took the first photo in this gallery.

Good to hear that you're better!! Rock these two shows before your holiday on the other side of the earth!! Take care and have a wonderful time 💓
Looks like you are having a lot of plans next week, put up the puzzle, buying a picture book🙈
But as I said, you are right, Kees is doing a great job!
I guess I won‘t make it next week to the show, so I wish you nice holidays and enjoy your time at home! (And your long long flight)☺️
