I promised I would do a more detailed video of my singing warmup.

  • Jaw and chin massage.

  • “Buzzing” on ascending or descending scales.

  • “vvv”, “zzz”, “mmm” on ascending or descending scales.

  • “Me”, “Mah”, “Moh” on ascending or descending scales.

  • “Minnie-me, Minnie-me, Minnie-me, Minnie-me, Me” on ascending and descending scales.

  • “Ay-yay-yay-yay-yay” on on ascending or descending scales.

  • Shoulders, neck and tongue.

  • Siren sounds going up or down.

  • Nasal sounds to help stretch the range.


You change change around the types of scales you do. You’ll see I do some different variations on scales, but ultimately they all stretch my voice up and down.

Wow, for the audience, everything looks so easy on stage. We forget, how much work and preparation go into each of your performances.
