Hi everyone,

I didn't tell you much apart from show you photos, so I wanted to give you a rundown on what we did and where we stayed etc.

We flew from Stuttgart to London on Monday at lunch time and arrived around 2pm. It felt like coming home - it always does when I come to London.

We took the Piccadilly line from Heathrow to Russell Square and walked to our hotel which was only a few minutes away. We stayed at a place called The Royal National hotel. It wasn't the best hotel but it was the perfect location as it was only a 20 minute walk to central London.

Obviously, the very first thing I did when we got to the hotel was then go and buy a coffee and after exploring a little bit and sitting in the sun with a drink, we went out to see the musical The Devil Wears Prada.

Now, in my opinion, this musical was not good. The writing was bad and lazy and they kept so many elements of the film but then decided to add stuff which didn't make sense. Anyways, the performers were great and the sets and costumes pretty good. My suggestion, if you go to London, see any other show first and then this one if you have time left and can get a cheap ticket.

The following day we got up early to have breakfast and then go to the Harry Potter studios. Now this was amazing. The place is HUGE and with so much to see. I highly recommend it.

Apart from more exploring and seeing friends and such, we also saw the musical The Great Gatsby. THIS was an amazing musical. You MUST go see this if you can.

We took the train to Paris on Thursday morning and spent a lot of the time walking around, drinking wine, enjoying the beautiful weather and the city. And of course... coffee. There's a new place called Noir that I hadn't heard of before so we went there - also quite close to the hotel. I can't remember the name of it, but it was very central and only a 30 minute walk from the Eiffel Tower.

There was a huge hail storm while we were there but we didn't see it because we were in a shopping centre at the time haha.

One last thing we did the night before we left was to go on a dinner cruise on the river Seine. That was so beautiful and a perfect end to the holiday. I highly recommend that also.

So then that brings us to Sunday morning where we took the train back to Stuttgart, arriving around 7pm.

If you havn't been to Paris, you MUST. It's truly a magical city with so much to do and see. It's also full of incredible history that even to this day you walk around some areas and feel like it's still the 1920s.

So... what can I say? Great coffee, wine, cities, people, weather... what else could you need?

S.
